Charlottesville, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – Charlottesville Blues FC, the city’s newly minted soccer club, is gearing up for an exciting second season in 2025 after a highly successful inaugural year. Co-owner Brian Krow joined Cville Right Now Live to reflect on the team’s journey and share what lies ahead.
“We had an absolutely amazing season… above and beyond our expectations,” said Krow. “No one really knew the essence of our fan base… It was incredible.” The Blues drew an average of 1,300 fans per game in their first season, a significant achievement in the USL League Two, known for summer collegiate-level play.
Next year promises even more growth for the team. Home matches will now be held at Charlottesville High School, quadrupling the stadium’s capacity to accommodate up to 5,000 fans.
Season tickets for 2025 are already on sale for just $35, offering fans access to all men’s and women’s home matches, including friendlies. Krow’s ambition for the team is clear: “We’re going to the playoffs.”
