Entering its third season, Blues PRO23 provides high-level men and women with a professionally organized summer environment featuring college-coach-led training, meaningful regional competition, ongoing evaluation, and direct connection to the Charlottesville Blues FC First Teams.

PROGRAM DETAILS
SEASON
The season begins in early June and continues through July. Qualifying teams may continue through the end of July for league playoffs and Final Four competition.
TRAINING
Teams generally train twice per week. The schedule may be adjusted around matches, travel, recovery, weather, facility availability, and postseason competition.
COMPETITION
Teams are expected to play approximately six to eight regional league matches, plus potential playoff and Final Four competition.
COACHING
The Men’s and Women’s PRO23 teams will be led by current college coaches and supported by the Charlottesville Blues FC technical and administrative structure.
PLAYER POOL
Each team typically engages approximately 30–35 players across different levels. Training groups and matchday selections may vary throughout the season.
PLAYER MOVEMENT
Eligible players may move between Blues U17, U19, PRO23, and First Team environments when appropriate and permitted by applicable league and roster rules.

PRO23 connects high-level summer development to the Charlottesville Blues FC First Teams. Player movement is based on performance, development, availability, positional needs, First Team needs, and applicable competition rules.
SELECTIVE ENTRY
HOW PLAYERS ARE SELECTED
Every player seeking direct selection to PRO23 must complete the Blues evaluation process and attend a tryout.
SUBMIT INTEREST
Complete the unified Blues player-interest form and select one or more programs of interest.
ATTEND A TRYOUT
Players attend a scheduled tryout where Blues coaches evaluate their current level and potential fit.
STAFF REVIEW
Staff review each player’s performance, experience, position, availability, and team needs.
ROSTER OFFER
Selected players receive a formal roster offer with their role, applicable player fee, and required next steps.
Existing First Team players assigned to PRO23 during the season are not required to complete a separate PRO23 tryout.

A HIGH-LEVEL SUMMER OPPORTUNITY
Player fees support college coaching, league participation, facilities, match operations, uniforms, and the professional administration required to deliver the Blues PRO23 environment.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
- Club-issued match uniforms remain property of Charlottesville Blues FC
- Player and family travel expenses are not included
- Training-group placement, matchday selection, and playing time are not guaranteed
- Player movement remains subject to staff decisions and league rules
- Established First Team contributors assigned occasionally to PRO23 pay no additional fee
Player fees are nonrefundable after roster acceptance. A player who sustains a documented season-ending injury may be eligible for a prorated refund upon submission of documentation from a licensed medical professional. Any approved refund will exclude registration, league, uniform, facility, or other costs already incurred by the club.
