WHAT TO WEAR?
Field Players: Grey shirt, black shorts, black socks, shinguards
Goalkeepers: Blue, Green, Yellow, or Orange shirt, black shorts, black socks, shinguards, and goalkeeper gloves
GENERAL REGISTRATION INFORMATION & WHAT TO BRING
- Charlottesville Blues FC is the only USL Men’s and Women’s professional franchise in Central Virginia that offers USL 2, USL W, USL / PRO23, and Academy player identification, including top youth players U15 and older.
- Charlottesville Blues FC has a very specific, vertically integrated Player Development Pathway, from Youth to Pro. A player selected for a particular team will start with that team. The coaching staff reserves the right to transfer the player to another team within the Blues pathway, based on various factors, with performance being the primary consideration.
- All players must register before the tryouts. Note: If there are multiple tryouts for age groups, a player must register again for that tryout even if they have already registered for USL W or USL 2.
- Check-in will begin 30 minutes before each tryout. Check-in will take place at the concession stand (look for the large Charlottesville Blues FC flag) located near the Turf field. Tryouts will start on time. If you are late, it will be noted.
- All players participating in the tryouts will receive a Charlottesville Blues FC tryout sticker number to place on the bottom left of their shorts. Players must wear this number for each tryout and ensure it is visible.
- Players must bring an inflated soccer ball and a water bottle (water jugs will be available on-site).
- Please double-check the weather and plan accordingly.
- Athletic Trainers Certified (ATC) and Medical personnel will be on site.
- Charlottesville Blues FC Coaching Staff reserves the right to scout players into the program without a tryout. However, it is strongly recommended that all players attend tryouts. If a player can’t participate in a tryout, please get in touch with bkuk@charlottesvillebluesfc.com.
- Players are responsible for all travel-related reservations and any fees.
